A. Yes you can a lot of companies offer a discount when you purchase a Renters Insurance policy
through the same company that handles your auto insurance. Some companies will even give that discount even though you may not have your Renters Insurance with them. Hope this answers your question.

Q. Hey Insurance Professor my neighbors tree fell on my property during a storm and my neighbor says it's up to my insurance company to repair my fence. What can i do?

Thanks for the question Leilani but your neighbor is right.Insurance companies consider the tree falling an act of God and not your neighbors fault, However if the tree was dead and rotted and your neighbor refused to remove the tree then it could be considered his fault and his homeowners insurance would then consider your claim. hope this helps.
